It's all about research
Before I started work on this house, I did a lot of research. I wanted an authentic look and feel to each room. One of the best resources to have is a living history museum nearby. This particular museum has about 70 structures that had been moved to the site. Buildings include homes, churches and businesses. They also have a research library, which came in VERY handy! So, having a place to go and see what these old houses actually looked like, was a very important part to the process.
